OGDEN — It doesn’t get much better than the next monthly free concert in downtown Junction City.

Classic. Motown. Hits.

Changing Lanes Experience is a Salt Lake City-based band that recreates the groove and vibe of Motown chart-toppers from the likes of Marvin Gaye, the Supremes, Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson, Sam Cooke and more.

The show, part of the Excellence in the Community concert series, begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, in Peery’s Egyptian Theater, 2415 Washington Blvd. As is the case each month, the concert is free and no tickets are required.

Under the direction of bassist and singer Carey Drisdom, Changing Lanes Experience produces an upbeat show of classic hits from the 1960s, ’70s and ’80s. Featuring a horn section, a string section, a rhythm section and four singers/dancers, the ensemble gets crowds dancing to hits like “Papa Was a Rolling Stone,” “I Heard It Through the Grapevine,” “You Can’t Hurry Love” and “When a Man Loves a Woman.”

Changing Lanes Experience appeared on “America’s Got Talent” with Alex Boyé in 2015.
